Easy to create and set up, but more time spent on maintenance
Developing a batch template is often much easier and faster to implement than integrating with an API. A batch connection refers to generating an export file from ClockWise in CSV, XML, or possibly even JSON format.
This file is downloaded to your computer, and you can then upload it to the software where the data needs to go.
ClockWise has several standard connection files available:
The advantage of a batch connection is that a 'custom mapping' can easily be created, making it flexible.
This way, you can decide or collaborate on which fields from ClockWise should go where in the software to be connected. You make the translation yourself!
However, there are almost always one or more fields between the two software systems that must match. And you will need to manually keep track of this.
